2. Product
These Terms & Conditions apply to MidCaelum, a macOS application distributed directly by PasHart Software. It provides tools for calculating, displaying and symbolically interpreting astrological charts.
Features and system requirements are described on the product page. Trial restrictions are set out in section 4.
3. License
The software is sold as a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license.
The purchase is a one-time payment (no subscription).
Activating the license removes the restriction to charts for the year 2000 and provides access to solar returns. The supported calculation range extends from January 2, 1700 at 00:00 UTC to December 31, 2200 at 00:00 UTC.
4. Trial / unregistered use
The software can be tested free of charge before purchase to explore its interface and the features available without a license, and to check compatibility with your Mac. In the unregistered version, chart dates are limited to the year 2000 in Universal Time (UT/UTC).
Solar returns require a license and are not available in the trial. Lunar returns and secondary progressions can only be tried when the calculated chart date falls within the year 2000 UT.
5. Pricing and payment
Prices are indicated inclusive of all taxes (TTC).
Payment is processed securely online via a payment provider. The management of VAT and taxes is handled by this provider.
A license key is provided after payment confirmation.
6. Delivery
The software is provided as a digital download. No physical product is shipped.
7. Right of withdrawal and refunds
In accordance with European law, a 14-day right of withdrawal may apply. However, the purchase of MidCaelum corresponds to the immediate supply of a digital license enabling the unlocking of the software. By completing the purchase, the user expressly requests this immediate supply and acknowledges that they waive their right of withdrawal once the license has been delivered.
The software is available before purchase in a limited free version allowing users to explore its features. Consequently, refund requests are not accepted. However, in the event of a proven technical defect preventing normal use on a compatible system, an appropriate solution will be proposed, which may include a refund.
8. Liability
MidCaelum is an application for astrological calculation and symbolic exploration. The interpretations provided constitute neither guaranteed predictions of events nor recommendations for decision-making.
The user is solely responsible for how they use the software and for their interpretation of the information provided. The publisher shall not be held liable for any consequences resulting from such use, regardless of their nature.
9. Personal data
Calculations and built-in interpretation texts work locally on your Mac, without an Internet connection. No online account is required. Charts saved by the user remain in their local files.
The “Export for AI” feature copies symbolic chart information to the clipboard. MidCaelum does not send it to an artificial intelligence service. If the user chooses to paste it into an external service, its processing is governed by that service’s privacy policy.
The user’s email address is collected during purchase and used for license generation, delivery by email, and activation within the MidCaelum application, where it is associated with the license key (without being embedded in it) and displayed in the license section. Activation requires entering both the license key and the email address used at purchase; using a different email address will not unlock the software. It may also be used for support purposes.
